We take your hopes and dreams Mash them up in the meat grinder Feed it to the kids We want them to grow up just like you Devoid of any passion Vision, talent or taste Don't you know? You're nothing Statistically you're useless Why bother with anything? Caught in a vicious circle Devoid of any passion Vision, talent or taste What do you know? Tell me, what do you know? What do you know? Nothing.

Bummer 02:26
Let's teach the kids that its all about faith As they watch little boys get scraped off the pavement Their eyes are covered but they can't look away We've been so spoiled, been so loyal Thinking we're protected Untouchable, infallible as no one would suspect The innocence to be stripped straight from their pockets Until dead on the scene Blood stained clothes put on the market A story, now an anecdote will only take their place A reputation for nothing, a name without a face It seems reality has struck and we're too unprepared So how do we teach the kids to praise The things they used to fear? When we refuse to break tradition and Neglect our own instinct Well as long as they wear the name No one objects Now lets pretend like the harmless banter Was nothing of to speak If that's what helps your conscience settle Whatever helps you sleep But you know fucking well your admission makes you choke You're just another worthless sheep Veiling your own cut throat
3.
Deep End 02:17
I hope you're doing fine I hope you're feeling okay Is it so fucking difficult to watch the world Give up on giving you... We're giving our time And that is all we got You're so fucking cynical and you have the whole world Already figured out Have you made up your mind? Or has it been determined By the ones that put you here Dress you up, put up on display You have your choices A mannequin, a servant A spokesman for the inundated You lost your will and reputation We're only given one chance You think we're being watched? We're jumping off the deep end Its making me uneasy Seeing can't be believing When we follow so blindly We're jumping off the deep end
4.
How does it feel up on your throne? For now you lay lifeless But you'll always be known Known as the king You're fucking Jesus Christ Praying for the affection that they had to sacrifice They're still here Pleading your case, living in fear Bite your tongue, familiar face Hanging your head in shame How does it feel up on your pedestal? While we're stripped away of innocence To keep you on the payroll Paying the price to keep your name clean While swallowing another pill On the way to therapy They're still here Pleading your case, living in fear Bite your tongue, familiar face Hanging your head in shame

POGO THE CLOWN I'm not the type to go against what you're thinking But who the fuck am I kidding? I can't stand to see Somebody else winning You gotta find yourself your own inspiration Quit trying to live up to these bullshit expectations I got a tick, I'm underfed Now I'm hallucinating From my lack of medication I got a job making you cringe I'm a leader, I'm a heretic I got a concept inside my head Making me feel too separated I'm not the type to go against what you're thinking Because who the fuck am I kidding? Apparently, I'm my own fucking religion It must be me because I don't see it This isn't who I'm supposed to be The ringleader of this circus of degenerates I got a tick, I'm underfed Now I'm hallucinating From my lack of medication I got a job making you cringe I'm a leader, I'm a heretic I got a concept inside my head Making me feel too separated ICONOCLAST The closer I get to you the harder it gets You've managed to cross this line And I just can't take it I know, you know You know we've been Staying for the sake of progress But now, come down I found your pedestal isn't as tall As you make it out to be You leave me hanging out to dry Just to see me cry out in frustration Like so many times before Before I really knew your true intentions The kid you thought was so weak In the end brought your monument Crashing down I can't wait to see how someone like you Sees things from the ground

I'm sort of masochistic that way I reject all that's left and these days I give up way too easily Because that's what I do best I don't hold a grudge in that case I don't see the point When there are people underneath the surface That we pay to avoid Now its gotten to the point Where I get off on other peoples pain I try to test the limit With no real reason, no restraint I'll keep raising the bar until there's No room left to lead I'll keep raising my expectations I'll judge you as I please I'm sort of sadistic that way Rejecting anybody who Ever gave a fuck about me I figure they're better off without me I can't hold on to shit in that case I'm just annoyed When people get way too familiar I'm spineless, now destroyed So I'll move on to my next obsession And pretend like I don't care at all About the things that used to make me So fucking miserable How selfish can I be to profit off of Recycling the same fucking song About my insignificant concept On how everybody else is wrong I don't waste my time on apologies When I don't have a reason And I feel no sympathy I never think about the things That make me want to scream I'd run out of breath eventually I'm not getting older I'm just tearing at the seams (seems) That everyone around me is out to get me At least that's what they tell me every day on my TV So I stick to my routine

about

Ronald Raygun Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Formed in the spring of '88, Ronald Raygun started out as a roller derby team, training to compete in the Philadelphia Area roller derby scene. As the team continuously failed to place in any competition, the group instead decided to pick up musical instruments. Heavily inspired by the synth pop of the 80s and the stand up of Bob Saget, the band has finally released it's opus. ... more
